Lys Sparrow-Serraino - Creator and Host

Lys Sparrow-Serraino is the creator and host of the Cold Case Mysteries Podcast Series, which takes a deep dive into the cold cases of central and eastern Pennsylvania. Her expertise in broadcast journalism and new media production has been honed from her twenty years of production experience working on independent films, documentaries and human-interest stories. Lys engages with audiences through public speaking and online platforms sharing her enthusiasm for storytelling and production. She is a registered Pennsylvania Council for the Arts artist who teaches new media workshops. Since the murder of her husband, Gianfranco Serraino in 2020, she has continued to write about the loss in honor of his memory. Lys also received a Crime Scene Initial Response and Management Certificate of Training from Northampton Community College and holds a Google Digital Marketing Certification.

Elliot Ganezer - Senior Producer

Elliot Ganezer has been a personal injury attorney for more than 30 years and was the attorney of record for the prevailing party in a published case from the U.S. Court of Appeals, which extended intellectual property protections to creative professionals. A graduate of Pepperdine Law School, Mr. Ganezer possesses a life-long curiosity for unsolved mysteries. For more than a decade, Elliot monitored the financial portfolios for multi-million dollar clients and developed strategies to maximize income and growth. As a senior producer he oversees the legal affairs and the financial expansion of the Cold Case Mysteries series.

Daniel John Chiles - Story Producer and Director

Daniel John Chiles is a passionate educator and creative professional with over two decades of experience teaching nationally and abroad. He is currently an Assessment Administrator at Northampton Community College, where he supports non-credit ESL and GED students, including underrepresented Southside residents, refugees, and immigrants, in achieving their educational goals.

Daniel is the founder of Friends English International School (friends-sapporo.com), an initiative that reflects his commitment to fostering global learning opportunities. As a lifelong musical composer, he made his mark in the Lehigh Valley music scene by producing Last Cry, the region’s first female-fronted punk band (https://omeka-s.bapl.org/s/lvuma/item/49279).

In addition to his work in education and music, Daniel is the content creator for the Cold Case Mysteries Podcast Series (https://www.coldcasemysterieslv.com/), a platform that also features the work of students from the new media workshops he co-leads with Lys Sparrow-Serraino. A Pennsylvania Council for the Arts registered artist, Daniel’s dedication to storytelling and mentorship continues to inspire the next generation of creatives.

Mark Ferencin - Law Enforcement Consultant from 5/22-11/24

Mark J. Ferencin, age 56, of Bethlehem, unexpectedly passed away on Friday, November 24, 2023, at St. Luke's Hospital in Fountain Hill. He leaves behind a legacy of love and commitment, having shared over a decade of marriage with his devoted wife, Angela (Scott) Ferencin. Born in Fountain Hill to Francis and Frances "Toot" (Belgrasch) Ferencin, Mark pursued a career in law enforcement, graduating from the Police Academy in 1988. Throughout his dedicated service, he worked with the Fountain Hill Police Department, the Prince George County, Maryland Police Department, and, until his sudden passing, the Lehigh University Police Department since 2004.
